Recent sightings

Captured this week just minutes from Sydney Harbour

Real moments from our crew and guests — not stock photography. This is what a typical morning looks like on the Tasman Sea.

"We were very lucky with our tour. We saw many breaches, tail slaps and fin slapping. Highly recommend Captain Dean. He even took us to see some seals at the end to add to our experience. Our tour was ooked out, and it didn't feel cramped or anything. Perfect sized boat."

Brandy P

"It was a really awesome tour. I spotted a lot of whales and even dolphins. Small group, fun crew, and everything well organized. Don't hesitate any longer, just book!"

TB Van Dam

"It was amazing! Dean was easy to deal and helped me as this was a prize I won, the vessel was comfortable, the crew was friendly, and it was exact on time! They also had speakers throughout the vessel and the sound was great and kept everyone engaged.
We were extremely lucky with all the whales we saw. Thank you! "

Everything you need to know

Our sighting rate is over 98% during peak season, but nature is nature. If no whales are spotted on your cruise, we'll bring you back on any future departure within the same season — completely free.

Cruises depart from Eastern Pontoon, Circular Quay — a two-minute walk from Circular Quay train station and the Sydney Opera House.

The Sydney humpback migration runs from May through November. June and July are best for northern migration, while September and October offer the chance to see mothers with calves heading south. We recommend you experience both.

Our partnered catamarans are engineered for stability, but if you're prone to motion sickness we recommend taking a preventative medication 30 minutes before boarding. Calmer seas typical of morning departures help, too.

Absolutely, We welcome ocean lovers of all ages, with full railings on every deck. Undercover area which is warm, dry & out of the weather.

Layers (it's cooler on the water), a windbreaker, polarised sunglasses, sunscreen, and a camera.
